2011 Crop Drop @ Harbor Walk Village
It was a bit chilly, and the sun had not risen yet when our day began on November 19th, 2011 at 5:00 a.m. in Destin Florida. Many hours of organization from giving hearts were beginning the day for the 3rd Annual Thrivent Financial Crop Drop. David and Jaclyn Saviola, Financial Representatives in Destin had a passion 3 years ago to find a way to serve the hungry through local church’s, food banks, and shelters… and so began the serving of others in need with the Thrivent Crop Drop. The 2011 Crop Drop brought together 310 volunteers.
Our volunteers were toddlers to seniors, from churchs, charities, scouting groups, family groups, and singles. Our volunteers also included Thrivent Financials FL-GA managing partner Scott Morris, Shep Griffith, Recruiter, and financial representatives Dave and Jaclyn Saviola, Juan Andrada of Panama City, Kim Donovan of Tallahassee, and Ruth Gramzow, Engagement Team Specialist.
